Nine months and counting…

If budget allows book in for a course of facials to exfoliate, firm and tone the skin. They are also beneficial in addressing any skin concerns you may have.

Keep hair in tip top condition by booking in for a trim, ideally every six weeks even if you are growing your hair for your wedding, remember it’s important to keep it looking healthy.

If tooth whitening is something you are considering now is the time to talk to your Dentist.

Book your hairdresser and make-up artist. It’s important to book early to avoid disappointment (I am nearly always booked a year in advance). You must feel comfortable with your team as you will be spending the morning of your wedding with them and they need to be professional and ready for anything!

Six months and counting…

Now is the time to get those brows groomed, remember that brows frame a face and they add structure so never neglect them. Remember to re-book every 4-6 weeks depending on your growth and colouring.

Book your hair and make-up rehearsal. I advise my bridal clients to create a mood board for me so we can discuss this when I arrive, looking through the glossies will help with ideas and inspiration. I guide my brides on suitable colours depending on skin tone, colouring and features. A smokey eye is still the most requested bridal look.

Three months and counting…

If you are opting for a fake tan, now is the time to think about whether you are happy applying it yourself or whether you want to book a tanning therapist. Most brides opt for a natural tan but practise makes perfect!

One month and counting…

Enjoy a pampering Hen Party with your girlfriends. No hangovers…

If you colour your hair, now is the time to do it. Leave it for two days before your wash it to help preserve the colour. Book in for a trim at the same time.

One week and counting…

Book an appointment if you are having false lashes applied professionally. I always carry lashes just in case clients like a subtle look, cluster lashes applied on the outer corner of the lashes can look amazing.

Book in for a final brow & lash tint (handy if you are going on honeymoon).

Drink plenty of water to help flush out any toxins, water helps plump out the skin so it’s more beneficial than you think.

Book in for a manicure and pedicure, make sure you have a touch-up kit just in case, I have found myself re-applying nail varnish the morning of the wedding so it pays to be prepared.

Get plenty of early nights this week, if you are finding it hard to sleep try a relaxing bath with a few drops of lavender. Bliss!

Enjoy this time, it’s goes all too quickly.

I recommend making your own face masks too! There are plenty of DIY options depending on your skin type. My favourite –
1 spoon Yoghurt – Pro biotic bacteria for healthy skin, natural exfoliant for smooth texture.
1 spoon Honey – full of vitamins and minerals, antibacterial for cleansing properties, and super hydrating.
2/3 drops lemon – full of antioxidants for protection against sun damage, stress, pollution etc and to give you a beautiful glow.
