It’s Showtime! Brides Up North looks ahead to The North West Wedding Fair…
I’ve loved every minute of acting as Official Blogger in the run up to The North West Wedding Fair 2014, and you can see from my social media feeds (you can follow Brides Up North on Twitter and like us on Facebook to stay in touch after the event) that excitement levels are high ahead of the big event this weekend.
I’ll be onsite on Friday 7th March 2014, blogging, facebooking, twittering, pinning and instagramming – including from a front row seat at the catwalk, to let you see what’s in store for you over the weekend.
I’ll be hosting the Fair’s official preview video which will introduce the show and give behind the scenes access to all your favourite industry exhibitors and wedding fashion designers. If you’re attending on Friday, watch out for me and my microphone, because I’ll be interviewing visiting brides and grooms too.
I’m also really looking forward to meeting the winner of The North West Wedding Fair and Brides Up North’s Pinterest Real Wedding Competition, hearing all about their wedding plans and helping them make their pins a reality. As the editor of Brides Up North I have access to all the insider info, discounts, industry news, new ideas and fresh wedding inspiration that can help to make a bride and groom’s dreams a reality.
As well as being wedding exhibition organisers, we are running an award winning wedding blog, our team at Brides Up North know a thing or two about how to get the best from an event like the North West Wedding Fair. Above all, enjoy it. You’ve chosen a premium local event with a wide cross section of suppliers and price points, so relax. It’s now all about finding exhibitors who match your aspirations and budget.
My top tips for the day ahead? Check out the show’s designer bridal catwalks and be open to styling ideas that you might not have considered before; use the show guide to plan your day and leave time to visit any suppliers that you are keen to see; walk the floor and check out all the options before committing; eat a good lunch and stay hydrated; take advantage of all the free samples, tasters and treats on offer – this is your chance to try before you buy – and keep your budget in mind: it’s easy to get carried away, but be prepared to be flexible if you find a supplier, dress or decorating detail that you really fall in love with.
Most importantly? Leave time for a few bubbles at the show’s Champagne bar with your husband to be, mum or best girls. An event like this is as much about the experience as the wed-min, so have fun and make memories. Save me a glass!
